The Photographer

Hello, I'm Kiki!

With a BFA in photography from The Emily Carr University of Art and Design, I’ve spent over 20 years refining my craft and capturing life’s most authentic moments. My formal education has shaped my ability to blend artistry with technical precision, and my passion lies in creating images that evoke emotion and tell powerful stories. Whether it’s a portrait that reflects your essence or a family session filled with laughter, my goal is to make every session an experience, not just a shoot.

In 2020, as the pandemic hit and borders started closing, I was faced with a choice: return to a tiny apartment in the city or stay at White Lotus Farms. The decision was obvious. I chose to stay, and what began as a two-week visit turned into six transformative months. I fell in love with the farm, its rhythms, and the wonderful community that surrounds it. After spending years as a professional photographer before shifting into online education in 2018, I’m now returning to the craft I love, and I’m incredibly fortunate to have been invited to be the in-house photographer at White Lotus Farms. This place has become part of my story, and I’m excited to capture its beauty and the stories of those who share it.

What brings me joy

What brings me joy is helping others find theirs—and I just happen to do it with a camera in hand. There’s nothing quite like hearing from a client after they’ve seen their gallery, amazed by images that capture something deeper than what they expected. Most people haven’t experienced working with a professional who brings a unique artistic flair to the table, who transforms what could be a simple photo into something meaningful and personal. I’ve been capturing moments since I was 14, and while my 20+ years of experience enhances the work, it’s my style and vision that breathe life into every frame. My real joy comes from seeing people feel truly seen, understood, and celebrated. That’s the magic I aim to create—beauty you can hold onto and cherish for years.

Our Creative Assistants

Amy B

Amy brings so much heart and talent to our photography team, and her journey here is as unique as she is. A graduate of art school, she’s always had a knack for creativity and expression, which shines through in her amazing eye for detail and composition during our sessions.

Before joining us, Amy spent years as a cheesemaker at White Lotus Farms, crafting artisanal cheeses and immersing herself in the farm’s natural beauty. This background adds a special layer of connection to her work with us—she just gets the magic of the farm like no one else.

During the week, Amy works full-time at the University of Michigan, but on weekends, we’re lucky to have her by our side. Her kind, empathetic touch and infectious joy light up every shoot. Whether she’s helping clients feel comfortable or spotting the perfect angle, she makes every moment more meaningful.

We’re so grateful to have Amy as part of our team. Her artistry, warmth, and ability to bring out the best in everyone make her an irreplaceable part of what we do.
